I do understand this is my 2nd green hair tutorial, and I'm working on making another color one soon.
Step 1________________________ Draw the base outlined in the darkest color of your hair.
Step 2________________________ This step may look overwhelming, but there isn't really much to it. What i did is I took the middle shade of the hair and shaded in the hair. Then I just used the darkest shade to kind of re-define it.
Step 3________________________ Use the lightest and second to darkest colors. Create different values in the hair as you see fit.
Step 4________________________ Here I just used the base color and added more values to the hair since I covered the original color up.
Step 5________________________ I felt like my hair was getting to light, so I went back and used the darkest color to re-do the shadows. Also clean up anything you want to fix.
Step 6________________________ Time for the strands. Use the darkest color of the hair and create a new layer set to multiply. Draw where you see fit.
Step 7________________________ Now take the lightest shade of the hair and draw more strands.
Step 8________________________ My favorite part. :3 the luminosity strands. For this step, use the lightest color of the hair and create a new layer, set to luminosity and draw strands that DON'T go with the other hair. It's supposed to stick out.
Step 9________________________ Add some overall shine. Create a new layer set to overlay and use a color between white and the light green, since the hair isn't black we cannot use plain out white.
Step 10________________________ Blend out the shine and fix up anything you think should be fixed.
